The friendliest running club in one of Boston's most welcoming neighborhoods, the Brighton Bangers meet Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m. in the warmer months) and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in Oak Square (the square where the eponymous oak tree used to stand) for runs of varying distances and speeds, with occasional boot camps Saturday mornings and track workouts Monday nights and post-run gatherings on Wednesday nights at the Last Drop (the diviest bar).
It's free, open to anyone, and a great way to make fast friends, find running buddies, and discover new running routes.
We also run together at events of all distances (most involving beer), have occasional social gatherings, and generally mix fitness and fun.
