Hellooooo Bangers!! I have race news, some quick updates, and a Grand Prix refresher for new members (or anybody else if you just forgot some stuff).
First, congratulations to Laura Duffy, who took second place in her division in the Cranberry Olympic Triathlon last weekend!! Mark Zurlo, Jon Marcus, Patrick McMahon, Em Grover, and Tony Chin all ran the Falmouth Road Race last weekend. This is a 7-mile race and is one of the most famous (and hardest to get into) in the Northeast! Finally, in more triathlon news, Macklin Hebert crushed the Timberman Half Ironman in Gilford, NH!
If your results are missing here or you want them to show up in the future, don't forget to submit them! This will get you points in the Grand Prix for prizes at this year's Bang-quet :) The link and instructions to submit race results is here: bit.ly/bangerresults
For new Bangers (or old Bangers) who may be asking themselves, what is the Grand Prix?: it's a series of races that we aim to do as a team throughout the year, with individual points as well as a set of team goals for the year! Everyone's races - regardless of the distance or your time - count towards team and individual points. You just need to submit your results using the above link!

In the "Standings and Upcoming Races" link above you will also see our races for the rest of this fall! The ones coming up soon include the Brighton Bangers 5k in September; the Smuttynose 5k OR half marathon in October; and the Cambridge half marathon in November. Details here: bangersraces
We're also ordering singlets! Unfortunately they have run out of size S and L for this order, but if you're ordering any size other than that, you can still place an order here: https://www.customink. com/g/nst0-00am-2awc We'll put in another order later this year if you still want one but they don't have your size. Thank you Mark Zurlo for organizing! Talk to Mark if you have questions about these, or if you want a pair of awesome green Bangers sunglasses for $5.
We're also volunteering at the B.A.A. Half Marathon on October 9th. We will be manning the water stop at mile 11! Thank you Jeremy Shaw for setting this up. More info on the timing and how to sign up here: https://www.facebook. com/events/1826671370899558/
FINALLY, this Saturday's long run will be 15 miles along the Charles (outbound first)! This starts at 6:30 AM in Oak Square. FB event here: https://www.facebook. com/events/960940247365932/
These long runs are a great way to train with other Bangers, but if you're looking for company on other runs any time, or looking for a race to train for, here is a list of Bangers training for half or full marathons or ultras this fall: bit.ly/bangersmarathons
That is all! Have a great weekend!
